Camille Taylor

Camille Taylor, known professionally as Camicamirobot, is an independent American visual artist based in North Florida. Her multidisciplinary practice explores the intersections of nature, technology, consciousness, and the unknown through psychedelic surrealist painting, photography, and experimental visual imagery.

Born in the Appalachian Mountains and raised in Pasco County, Florida, Taylor developed an artistic perspective shaped by the contrasting landscapes of the American Southeast. Her work draws upon organic patterns, biological structures, and the peculiar familiarity of things that appear otherworldly. Saturated colors, anatomical references, extraterrestrial figures, and branching compositions populate imagined environments where the boundaries between the natural and artificial begin to dissolve.

Working across traditional and digital mediums, Taylor has maintained the creative identity Camicamirobot for more than a decade. Her background encompasses painting, photography, artistic modeling, and graphic design, reflecting an independent creative practice that extends beyond any single discipline.

Her work has been exhibited in independent community spaces, including coffee shop exhibitions in Eugene, Oregon, and acquired by private individuals and local businesses in Boise, Idaho, New Orleans, Louisiana, and other locations. In 2022, her 2020 painting Quantum Earth was acquired by Goodson Gallery in New Orleans and subsequently featured in the gallery's September art giveaway.

Currently working amid the springs, forests, and wildlife of North Florida, Taylor continues to investigate the relationship between the observable and the imagined, creating work that invites curiosity rather than prescribing interpretation.

Camicamirobot is an ongoing exploration of a strange and living world.
